Kokusai Kogyo has endorsed the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)※1, developed in collaboration between the UN Global Compact and UN Women, pledging to act according to its principles through the signing of its CEO Statement of Support.
Prior to WEPs endorsement, Kokusai Kogyo has initiated action towards gender equality by working to increase the ratio of women at management level and boosting paternity leave through its general employer action plan set under the Act on the Promotion of Female Participation and Career Advancement in the Workplace※2. The ratio of women among all Kokusai Kogyo employees, and among management, have been increasing yearly. Kokusai Kogyo respects diversity among its employees and promotes an equal opportunity workplace, where everyone can perform at their full potential, through fair employee evaluation standards, enforcement of child care leave policies, and other means, across all their locations.
