August 5th, 2020
Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd.
Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Kokusai Kogyo) has committed to set science-based emissions reduction targets – across the entire value chain – that are consistent with keeping global warming to 1.5℃ above pre-industrial levels in June 2020, thereby joining the “Business Ambition for 1.5℃” campaign. The campaign is led by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)1 in partnership with the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and the We Mean Business2 coalition.
On July 27, 2020, Kokusai Kogyo signed the “Uniting Business and Governments to Recover Better” statement, organized by UNGC and SBTi, urging governments to align their COVID-19 recovery efforts with the latest climate science.
